Thank you for another successful JMCAF golf outing! Save the date - July 12th, 2025!
One of the larger goals for our foundation was to award a scholarship to a graduating senior from the class of 2016. (This is the class that Jansen would have graduated with if he were still with us.) We are very proud to say that not only did we meet that goal, we exceeded it!
The Jansen Myers Child Abuse Foundation awarded a $5,000 academic scholarship to Paige Trentmen, and a $5,000 athletic scholarship to Brian Corbett. We are very proud of both Paige and Brian and we wish them the very best.
We have always striven to keep Jansen's legacy alive by doing things for the children in our community. We sponsored his class throughout their elementary, middle school and high school years. Jansen would have been a senior and graduated with the class of 2016. Jansen's foundation was proud to pay for his class to graduate at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. All graduation rental fees were paid by our foundation.
While many of us were present that day, Jansen was not. However, his graduating class insisted there be a chair left empty for him. The class of 2016 wore wristbands with Jansen's name on them, and recognized him during both the valedictorian and the salutatorian speeches. Our hearts were full knowing Jansen was with us on that day. We are still so proud of each and every student who chose to honor him, and we will always be so very thankful for each of you. We look up to him and smile knowing we were able to do what we set out to do. Jansen will always be remembered, and will always be a part of the 2016 Miamisburg graduating class.
